TIMO XVI 2022

-

Due to the corona virus pandemics the organizing team in Halle had to postpone the date for TIMO three times – from May 2020 to September 2020 and once again to February 2021. The development of the pandemic now allows to be confident: The meeting will be catched up from the 24th to the 26th of March 2022 as a presence event and it would be great to welcome you as a participant and/or speaker as planned in 2020! Again, the venue will be in Halle (Saale), University Hospital, Ernst-Grube-Straße 40, lecture halls 3 and 4.

The aim of the symposium in 2022 is to present the newest research results in basic tumor immunology and in the design and implementation of novel innovative immunotherapeutic approaches for the constantly growing community of tumor immunologists and immunotherapists. The meeting covers all major preclinical, translational and clinical topics, which will allow the participants to develop cooperations due to the lively discussions and accompanied by the social program. Between 130 and 160 national and international guests are expected.

Here is the rough schedule for the meeting:

Thursday, 24th of March 2022:
WORKSHOP
Start: 12.00 a.m.
End: 06.00 p.m.
Speakers: students, postdocs, young professionals, spin offs

08.00 p.m.: Networking event/ dinner for ALL: Halle (Saale), Brasserie “Lözius”, Steintor Varieté

Once again, we would like to make it possible for young professionals to submit their abstracts (max. 1 page, 12 ppt, Arial) to us. Based on your abstract, we will choose who will give a short talk within the workshop on Thursday or present a poster. We will provide 18 slots for a short talk (10 minutes talk, 3 minutes discussion). Furthermore, you have the possibility to present your poster within the poster session on Thursday evening up to 20 possibilities. We ask you for an active participation. We expect your abstracts and titles until the end of the year 2021 at the latest in order to integrate the selected talks for the workshop into the official program.

In addition, we have to give the advice that reimbursing costs for the meeting are only reserved for the speakers of the main symposium – not for the speakers/presenters within the workshop. However, we will help you to find an accommodation if it is necessary.

Friday, 25th of March 2022:
MAIN SYMPOSIUM
Start: 08.30 a.m.
End: 06.00 p.m.

Saturday, 26th of March 2022:

Currently, the organizing team is planning to switch the program established for TIMO in 2020 to the date in 2022. They ask all to provide information if it is possible to participate also in 2022 as speaker in the main symposium, within the workshop or as a participant in order to integrate all these information for our program. They do need your information for further planning until the 30th of November 2021.
